- Adani Enterprises and Jabil plan a 50:50 joint venture for AI racks, servers, networking, power and cooling equipment.
- The proposal remains subject to definitive agreements, regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
Adani Enterprises Limited and Jabil signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, for a proposed 50:50 joint venture to manufacture and assemble artificial intelligence and data-centre equipment in India. The announcement was published by Adani Group.
Proposed Platform Covers Core Hardware
The proposed venture would manufacture and assemble AI racks, servers, storage and networking equipment used in data centres. Its planned portfolio also includes power distribution units, liquid-cooling systems and transformers, alongside installation and commissioning services.
Adani and Jabil expect the platform to develop multi-gigawatt manufacturing capacity for AI racks and supporting infrastructure. The companies said the manufacturing base would serve Indian demand and support exports, although the proposal has not yet become a binding transaction.
Conditions Keep Execution In Focus
The MoU remains subject to definitive agreements, applicable approvals and customary closing conditions. For investors, that makes execution milestones more important than the headline capacity ambitions at this stage. The venture also extends Adani's stated move up the AI infrastructure chain from supplying energy and hosting facilities toward manufacturing critical equipment.
Adani's announcement cited projections that India's data-centre capacity could reach 5 to 8 gigawatts by 2030. The companies also estimated a global AI-computing infrastructure opportunity of more than 3 trillion US dollars over the next seven years; these figures are forward-looking industry and company estimates, not committed revenue for Adani Enterprises.
Adani Enterprises is listed on India's NSE and BSE under the ticker ADANIENT on the NSE and 512599 on the BSE. The company's investor-relations page identifies the Indian rupee as the trading currency and confirms the ISIN INE423A01024.
