- Third-quarter revenue rose as pricing and acquisitions offset lower volumes.
- Building Materials expanded its margin, while Building Envelope remained under cost pressure.
- Management expects softer volumes and delayed cost recovery to shape the fourth quarter.
Amrize lowered its 2026 outlook after cost inflation, elevated interest rates and weather-related volume pressure weighed on the third quarter. In its October 28 release, the company reported revenue of 3.771 billion US dollars, up 2.2 percent from the prior-year quarter, while adjusted EBITDA increased 0.2 percent to 1.076 billion US dollars.
Guidance reflects cost pressure
Amrize now expects 2026 revenue of 12.2 billion to 12.4 billion US dollars and adjusted EBITDA of 2.95 billion to 3.05 billion US dollars. Management cited softer fourth-quarter volumes, inflation and interest rates. The company expects Building Materials to reach a positive price-cost position in the fourth quarter, but pushed that milestone for Building Envelope into 2027.
Pricing and acquisitions supported the quarter, contributing 78 million US dollars and 77 million US dollars respectively to revenue growth. Energy, fuel and freight surcharges added 23 million US dollars, partly offsetting higher freight, diesel and raw-material costs and lower volumes. The adjusted EBITDA margin declined to 28.5 percent from 29.1 percent a year earlier.
Segments show different pressure
Building Materials revenue rose 1.8 percent and segment adjusted EBITDA increased 2.7 percent to 938 million US dollars. Cement volumes fell 4.2 percent, but cement pricing rose 1.8 percent on a constant-currency basis and aggregates pricing increased 6.9 percent.
Building Envelope revenue grew 3.6 percent, while segment adjusted EBITDA fell 14.6 percent to 182 million US dollars. Higher freight and raw-material costs outweighed improved volumes, pricing and surcharges. Residential roofing demand also remained weaker, while commercial roofing volumes were described as resilient.
Buyback adds shareholder support
Amrize completed its 1 billion US dollar share repurchase program on October 28, representing approximately 4 percent of share capital. The board also declared a quarterly dividend of 0.11 US dollars per share, payable on November 18, 2026.
