- Third-quarter orders reached 342.6 million euros, beating the 298 million euro analyst expectation cited in the report.
- Management expects favorable order momentum to continue into the fourth quarter as AI data-center investment expands.
- Hybrid-bonding adoption remains the key test for converting demand into durable revenue growth.
BE Semiconductor Industries, known as Besi, remains in focus after strong third-quarter orders linked to artificial-intelligence data-center demand. A report published by Ad-hoc-news.de said order intake reached 342.6 million euros, up 17 percent from the second quarter and 96 percent from the year-earlier period.
The latest report adds a clear operating detail to the recent debate around the Besi stock. Analysts surveyed by Visible Alpha had expected orders of 298 million euros, according to the report. The stronger intake gives investors another indication that AI infrastructure spending is reaching specialist suppliers of semiconductor assembly and packaging equipment.
AI demand supports order momentum
Chief Executive Richard Blickman said favorable order momentum from the first nine months of 2026 should continue into the fourth quarter. He linked the outlook to a multiyear expansion of AI computing capacity, making data-center investment an important demand driver for Besi.
The operating signal is positive, but quarterly orders remain cyclical. Investors still need to assess how quickly current demand translates into shipments, installed capacity and recurring revenue.
Hybrid bonding remains the test
Besi's hybrid-bonding technology is designed to stack chips directly together and improve performance and integration. The central investment question is customer adoption: strong orders support demand for advanced packaging equipment, while slower industrial adoption could delay a more predictable revenue base.
The company has also announced a 100 million euro share buyback. That supports the capital-allocation narrative, but it does not remove execution risks around customer production plans, yields and memory-related equipment demand.
Besi stock traded at 143.75 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 18:15 CET on Friday, November 6, 2026. This was 4.69 percent below the 150.83 euro Lang & Schwarz price cited in the previous report from Thursday, November 5, at 11:07 CET.
