- Third-quarter growth was led by the growth portfolio and key newer medicines.
Bristol Myers Squibb heads into the week with a scheduled industry event in Boston and a pipeline narrative that gained weight after its third-quarter report on October 29. The Advanced Therapies USA event page lists the conference for November 4-5 and cites more than 1,200 attendees, including participants from the cell and gene therapy sector.
The event comes after Bristol Myers Squibb reported third-quarter revenue of USD 13.1 billion, up 7% year over year, according to the Yahoo Finance earnings-call transcript. Growth portfolio revenue rose 12% to USD 7.7 billion. Management highlighted QVANTIG, BREYANZI, CAMZYOS and other newer products as contributors to the expansion.
Pipeline Readouts Set The Tone
Chief Executive Chris Boerner said the company expects several additional readouts before year-end, including phase III data for milvexian in secondary stroke prevention and SOTYKTU in lupus. The company also plans to present two Cobenfy-related datasets at CTAD in Boston in November, covering the ADEPT-1 and ADEPT-3 studies.
For 2026, adjusted earnings guidance is now USD 6.35 to USD 6.55 per share. A USD 0.58 per-share impact from acquired in-process research and development and licensing income weighed on the guidance range. Excluding that item, management said the midpoint would have increased by USD 0.15 per share.
Bristol Myers Squibb is also investing in capacity for future products. The company described a planned Houston manufacturing campus as an approximately USD 2.3 billion investment, while RayzeBio plans to invest more than USD 170 million in an Indiana radiopharmaceutical facility. Those commitments underline the importance of converting clinical progress into launches, although development and regulatory risks remain material.
