- Record third-quarter revenue and stronger operating profit reinforced demand for semiconductor inspection and metrology systems.
- Management maintained its fourth-quarter outlook and expects 2027 revenue to exceed the prior-year forecast.
- AI-related advanced packaging remains the main growth driver, while margin delivery and order conversion remain key investor questions.
Camtek reported record third-quarter revenue on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, as demand for semiconductor inspection and metrology systems continued to benefit from advanced packaging and artificial intelligence applications. The results were published by PR Newswire via Yahoo Finance.
Record Quarter Raises Execution Stakes
Revenue for the quarter ended September 30 reached 161.3 million US dollars, up 28 percent from the year-earlier period and 21 percent from the second quarter. GAAP operating income rose to 39.8 million US dollars, while non-GAAP operating income reached 47.5 million US dollars, equal to a 29.5 percent margin.
GAAP net income was 42.8 million US dollars, or 0.84 US dollars per diluted share. Non-GAAP net income reached 50.3 million US dollars, or 0.99 US dollars per diluted share. The year-earlier GAAP comparison included a one-time 88.7 million US dollar loss from the extinguishment of capital notes, which contributed to the prior-year net loss.
Guidance Keeps Growth Case Alive
Camtek expects fourth-quarter revenue of approximately 180 million US dollars, representing roughly 40 percent year-over-year growth, and sees full-year 2026 revenue at about 595 million US dollars. The company also maintains an initial 2027 outlook above 800 million US dollars, supported by its order backlog and sales pipeline.
The figures strengthen the operating case, but investors still need to assess whether high growth can be converted into durable margins. The company reported a GAAP gross margin of 50.0 percent and a non-GAAP gross margin of 51.1 percent in the quarter. Management said advanced packaging, much of it linked to AI demand, remains central to the longer-term expansion.
