Global volume supports upgraded targets
The Coca-Cola Company reported its third-quarter results on October 27, 2026. In its third-quarter results release, the beverage maker said global unit case volume increased 5 percent in the three months ended October 2.
India, China, Mexico and Brazil led the volume gains. Net revenue increased 7 percent to 13.4 billion US dollars, while organic revenue, a non-GAAP measure, also grew 7 percent. Reported earnings per share rose 8 percent to 0.93 US dollars, and comparable EPS increased 11 percent to 0.91 US dollars.
Regional mix remains important
The growth was uneven across markets. Latin American unit case volume rose 6 percent and Asia Pacific volume gained 6 percent, while North American volume was flat. Coca-Cola Zero Sugar volume increased 16 percent globally, supporting the company's branded portfolio.
Price/mix increased 1 percent, and operating income grew 12 percent. The company said higher marketing investment and operating expenses partly offset operating progress, while currency provided a tailwind to reported and comparable EPS.
Higher targets raise execution stakes
Coca-Cola now expects 2026 organic revenue growth of at least 5 percent, compared with prior guidance of approximately 5 percent. Its comparable currency-neutral EPS growth target, excluding acquisitions and divestitures, is at least 9 percent, up from a previous range of 7 percent to 8 percent. Comparable EPS growth is expected to reach at least 11 percent, up from 9 percent to 10 percent.
The company also raised its free cash flow target to at least 13.0 billion US dollars. For investors, the upgraded targets point to stronger global demand, but flat North American volume and the limited price/mix contribution leave regional execution and cost control as key watch points.
