Coca-Cola stock reflects a stronger global quarter and a higher 2026 outlook. Flat North American volume remains a key watchpoint for investors.

Quarterly momentum meets regional weakness

  • Coca-Cola delivered 5% global unit case volume growth in the third quarter.
  • Organic revenue increased 7%, while North American volume was flat.
  • Management raised its 2026 comparable earnings and free cash flow targets.

The Coca-Cola Company reported stronger third-quarter results on October 27, 2026, and raised its full-year outlook. In its official release, the company said global unit case volume grew 5% in the quarter ended October 2.

Net revenue rose 7% to 13.4 billion US dollars, while organic revenue, a non-GAAP measure, also increased 7%. Concentrate sales advanced 7% and price/mix rose 1%. Reported operating income grew 12%, with operating margin reaching 33.4%, up from 32.0% a year earlier.

Global volume growth stays broad

Growth was led by international markets. Unit case volume rose 6% in Latin America and Asia Pacific and 5% in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. India, China, Mexico and Brazil were among the markets supporting the consolidated increase.

Trademark Coca-Cola volume grew 5%, while Coca-Cola Zero Sugar advanced 16%. Water, sports, coffee and tea increased 5% in total, although sports drinks declined 3% and coffee and tea were each flat. The company gained value share in total nonalcoholic ready-to-drink beverages, according to the release.

North American demand remains mixed

North American unit case volume was flat. Growth in Trademark Coca-Cola was offset by weaker water, sports, coffee and tea volumes. Coca-Cola said the region still gained value share, led by juice, value-added dairy and plant-based beverages and Trademark Coca-Cola.

The regional contrast matters for investors because the international volume gains were accompanied by pricing and mix effects. In North America, price/mix increased 1%, while reported operating income and comparable currency-neutral operating income each rose 5%.

Higher targets sharpen the outlook

Management lifted its 2026 organic revenue target to at least 5% growth from approximately 5% previously. Comparable currency-neutral earnings per share excluding acquisitions and divestitures are now expected to grow at least 9%, compared with an earlier range of 7% to 8%. Comparable earnings per share including currency, acquisitions and divestitures are expected to rise at least 11%, up from 9% to 10%.

The company also raised its free cash flow target to at least 13.0 billion US dollars from approximately 12.4 billion US dollars. The outlook assumes a pending sale of African bottling operations closes in the fourth quarter, subject to regulatory approvals. Coca-Cola said it expects slight destocking and six fewer days in the fourth quarter, which could cause concentrate shipments to trail unit case volume.
