Deutsche Börse reported broad-based growth in the third quarter and raised its full-year 2026 total net revenue guidance again. The exchange operator published the results on October 20, with the update coming from the company itself in a Deutsche Börse investor release.

The group generated total net revenue of 1.633 billion euros, up 13 percent from the prior-year quarter. Net revenue excluding treasury income rose 14 percent to 1.415 billion euros, supported by structural trends and a favorable market environment. Six of the eight businesses achieved double-digit growth rates, broadening the earnings base beyond a single division.

Higher revenue lifts operating leverage

Operating costs increased 7 percent to 646 million euros. The company attributed the increase mainly to higher share-based compensation linked to the share price performance and expenses connected with the planned Allfunds transaction. Excluding those effects, cost growth was about 3 percent, indicating stronger operating leverage as revenue expanded.

EBITDA including treasury income rose 16 percent to 978 million euros. EBITDA excluding treasury income increased 19 percent to 760 million euros. Net profit attributable to shareholders reached 559 million euros, an 18 percent year-on-year increase. Cash earnings per share before purchase price allocation effects came to 3.28 euros, while basic earnings per share stood at 3.10 euros.

Treasury trend turns upward

Treasury income totaled 218 million euros and increased 7 percent from the year-earlier quarter. Deutsche Börse said this was the first year-on-year increase in treasury income since 2024, confirming an inflection point that management had previously indicated. Changing interest-rate expectations supported activity in fixed-income and funding markets and strengthened the treasury contribution.

Chief Financial Officer Jens Schulte also pointed to a longer-term shift toward capital-market investment products. Rising assets from institutional and private investors in Europe are supporting higher assets under custody and greater settlement volumes in the Fund Services and Securities Services businesses. That mix gives the group exposure to both market activity and structural growth in investment infrastructure.

Share price reflects stronger earnings backdrop

The real-time quote of Deutsche Börse stock was 323.25 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 10:05 CET on Thursday, November 5, 2026, 1.43 percent above the Xetra close of Wednesday, November 4. The stronger quarterly earnings profile and repeated guidance increases provide support for the investment case, although the company remains exposed to trading activity, interest-rate expectations and costs related to the Allfunds transaction.

Deutsche Börse said it was very confident about the full year after the latest performance. The next material focus for investors is the delivery of the raised 2026 revenue outlook and the contribution from the planned Allfunds transaction as the company moves through the final quarter.

Market conditions remain relevant for exchange operators because volatility, interest-rate expectations and securities-market volumes influence activity across several business lines. See current DAX market reports for the broader German equity-market setting.
