- Third-quarter sales reached 2.368 billion euros on 5% like-for-like growth, led by volume.
- Adjusted EBITDA rose 8% like for like, while the quarterly margin reached 20.4%.
- Management kept its full-year margin and cash-conversion targets intact as it prepares for 2027 and 2028.
DSM-Firmenich raised its full-year sales outlook after a volume-led third quarter, according to the company's November 4 trading update. The Swiss-Dutch nutrition, health and beauty group lifted its 2026 like-for-like sales growth target to around 5%, from a previous range of 2% to 4%.
Continuing operations generated third-quarter sales of 2.368 billion euros, compared with 2.238 billion euros a year earlier. Like-for-like growth was 5%, consistent with the year-to-date trend, and management said volume was the main driver. High win rates on customer briefs and solid performance across regional and local accounts supported the result.
Margin progress supports the outlook
Adjusted EBITDA increased 8% on a like-for-like basis to 482 million euros, while the quarterly adjusted EBITDA margin reached 20.4%. The company said the margin included an 80-basis-point negative foreign-exchange effect against the prior-year quarter. Cost savings, restructuring measures and pricing actions are intended to offset cost inflation.
Chief Executive Dimitri de Vreeze said business conditions entering the fourth quarter remained supportive, citing a healthy innovation pipeline, high win rates and continued sales growth. He also said the 2026-2028 action plan was on track and that the group remained focused on cash and capital discipline.
For the full year, dsm-firmenich continues to target an adjusted EBITDA margin of around 20% and cash conversion of 11% to 12%, measured as adjusted gross operating free cash flow to sales. The higher sales target therefore improves the top-line outlook without changing the profitability and cash framework.
