Erste Bank is providing financing for the refinancing of two shopping centers in Zagreb, adding a new commercial-finance transaction to Erste Group's business in Croatia. EurobuildCEE reported the agreement on Friday, November 6, 2026.
Manta d.o.o., the owner of City Center One East and City Center One West, signed a loan agreement worth 126 million euros with Erste Bank. The financing is intended to refinance existing debt, optimize the capital structure of both properties and extend their maturities.
Manta is part of South African group Hyprop Investments, which operates in South Africa and Eastern Europe. Igor Kanjuh, director of real estate financing at Erste Bank, said the transaction strengthens the bank's position as a financial partner in Croatia's commercial real estate market.
For investors, the deal adds a concrete lending example to Erste Group's regional banking profile. It also broadens the current focus beyond the group's Polish expansion and recent earnings outlook, although the transaction itself does not establish a direct effect on the share price.
