Revenue growth reaches 5 percent

EBITDA rose 4 percent to CHF 374.2 million in the first half, compared with a 1 percent increase in consolidated profit. The difference matters because higher depreciation and financial expenses, linked partly to the commissioning of Noida Airport, limited the conversion of operating growth into bottom-line earnings.

The official release also reported a 6 percent increase in operating costs to CHF 299.4 million. Capital expenditure reached CHF 269 million, making investment intensity a central factor for the earnings profile even as passenger volumes supported both aviation and non-aviation revenue.

Yahoo Finance also reported that the first half delivered the strongest half-year result in the company's history, with revenue up 5 percent to CHF 674 million and net profit at CHF 164 million. The figures point to resilient operations, but the 1 percent profit increase shows why cost and financing trends remain important for valuation.
