- Third-quarter organic sales growth and margin expansion prompted Honeywell Technologies to lift its full-year outlook.
- Building Automation and Process Automation and Technology grew organically, while Industrial Automation remained a portfolio counterweight.
- The next test is whether stronger fourth-quarter demand converts the raised earnings and cash-flow targets.
Honeywell Technologies raised its full-year 2026 outlook after reporting stronger third-quarter profitability on October 22. Since the October 28 report on the company's refinery technology project, the Lang & Schwarz quote has risen 1.03 percent, providing a fresh market update for Honeywell stock.
The company reported sales of USD 4.994 billion, up 1 percent year over year and 7 percent organically, according to Honeywell's earnings release. Operating income increased 79 percent to USD 740 million, while operating margin expanded to 14.8 percent from 8.4 percent.
Higher guidance meets mixed segments
Adjusted earnings per share rose 34 percent year over year to USD 2.27. Reported EPS fell 20 percent to USD 2.40 because the prior-year period included a one-time gain from the Resideo termination agreement; the adjusted figure excludes identified items.
Honeywell now expects 2026 sales of USD 20.0 billion to USD 20.1 billion, organic growth of 4 percent to 5 percent and adjusted EPS of USD 8.40 to USD 8.45. The company also raised its free-cash-flow outlook to approximately USD 2.1 billion and expects segment margin of approximately 20.5 percent. Fourth-quarter organic growth is forecast at 5 percent to 6 percent.
Growth was uneven across the portfolio. Building Automation and Process Automation and Technology each delivered 8 percent organic growth, while Industrial Automation sales declined 23 percent on a reported basis. The contrast leaves execution and project demand as key issues for the raised annual targets.
Honeywell stock traded at EUR 198.27 on Lang & Schwarz at 4:12:06 p.m. Berlin time on Friday, October 30, 0.35 percent above the Xetra close of Thursday, October 29.
