Intel stock slips as PC weakness shadows AI growth
Published on 11/02/2026 at 16:22 | Editorial responsibility: Rafael Müller, Editor-in-Chief AD HOC NEWSIntel's growth picture remains divided
- Data center and AI demand strengthened Intel's third-quarter performance.
- PC weakness and cautious fourth-quarter guidance remain the main operating risks.
- Server supply and capacity expansion are key tests for the turnaround.
Intel stock traded at 57.08 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 16:09 CET on Monday, November 2, 2026, 1.59 percent below the Xetra close of Friday, October 30, 2026 at 58.00 euros. The quote was 1.38 percent below the 57.88 euros recorded in the previous report published on October 30, keeping the stock's post-earnings weakness in focus.
Intel's third-quarter results, released on October 29, showed a sharp split between its growth businesses and its client market. In its official results release, the company reported revenue of 16.5 billion US dollars, up 21 percent from a year earlier.
Server Growth Meets PC Pressure
Data Center and AI revenue rose 78 percent to 7.3 billion US dollars, while Intel Foundry revenue increased 58 percent to 6.7 billion US dollars. Client Computing and Physical AI revenue moved in the opposite direction, declining 5 percent to 8.1 billion US dollars.
Management expects the PC slowdown to continue through at least the first half of 2027. That warning limits how quickly server and artificial intelligence demand can translate into broader earnings momentum.
The company expects fourth-quarter revenue between 15.0 billion and 16.0 billion US dollars. Its outlook includes non-GAAP gross margin of 38.0 percent and non-GAAP earnings per share of 0.25 US dollars. Intel also said demand for its Xeon processors remains strong and that expanding supply is an immediate priority.
What Investors Watch Next
For investors, the central question is whether data center growth can offset a deeper client downturn while Intel increases manufacturing capacity. The next quarterly update should clarify whether server demand is converting into sustained operating improvement or remains constrained by supply.
