Interactive Brokers is broadening its Connector with autonomous trading, AI-built screeners and earnings research, according to the company's release notes updated on October 27, 2026. Interactive Brokers stock traded at 69.85 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 14:00 CET on Thursday, November 5, 2026.
The Connector version 1.2.1 update allows eligible clients to use Autonomous Trading, under restrictions and availability conditions, so an AI can place orders without confirmation for every transaction. That shifts the product from research and order preparation toward execution while leaving eligibility and account safeguards central to the rollout.
Research And Execution Connect
The same release expands the platform's screening functions. Clients can describe an investment idea in natural language, filter US stocks, US exchange-traded funds, European stocks and Hong Kong stocks, and rank results using a single factor or weighted criteria.
Users can preview results before saving, refining or removing a screener. The platform returns the top 10 matches by default and up to 50 on request, with links into Client Portal for the complete output. The broader screening universe may increase the usefulness of the connected workflow for active investors, although commercial gains will depend on adoption and trading activity.
Earnings Insights adds another layer to the same interface. Before a company reports, users can request estimates and outlook scenarios. Afterward, the tool can provide guidance, management commentary and the market reaction, reducing the need to switch between applications during the earnings cycle.
Adoption Remains The Key Test
For investors, the product update strengthens Interactive Brokers' technology proposition but does not by itself establish a financial contribution. The main tests are whether clients use the tools regularly, whether autonomous execution increases order flow and whether the broker can scale the service while maintaining its restrictions and controls.
