Interactive Brokers is broadening the artificial-intelligence functions available through its brokerage platform. In a report published on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, FX News Group said version 1.2.1 of IBKR Connector adds Autonomous Trading, Earnings Insights and expanded AI screener functions.

Broader AI access for clients

The update allows eligible clients to authorize connected AI platforms to identify opportunities and submit supported orders without requiring individual confirmation for every transaction. Interactive Brokers says the capability operates within a dedicated AI Partition and remains subject to account, country, entity and regulatory eligibility requirements.

The Connector also adds earnings research. Users can request previews with estimates and outlook scenarios before a company reports, then review guidance, management commentary and market reaction after the release. That places research and execution tools in the same connected workflow, although the feature does not remove the account restrictions and safeguards governing client activity.

AI-assisted screening is another central part of the release. Users can describe an investment search in natural language, refine the results and save or update screeners without leaving the AI interface. The available universe covers United States stocks, United States exchange-traded funds, European stocks and Hong Kong stocks, while results can be ranked using a single factor or weighted criteria.
