Kioxia stock enters a new test after record quarterly results. The company expects only limited sequential growth in the December quarter.

Record Quarter Meets Cautious Outlook

  • July-September revenue reached 2,480 billion yen, supported by AI-related data-center demand and higher selling prices.
  • Kioxia expects October-December revenue of 2,500 billion yen and operating profit of 1,995 billion yen.
  • Management sees strong longer-term storage demand, while smartphone and PC demand remains weaker.

Kioxia reported record results for the July-September quarter on October 30, but its cautious outlook for the following quarter shifted investor focus from current earnings to the pace of further growth. The results and forecast were reported by EL7.AI, while Kioxia's investor-relations page lists the October 30 financial-results release.

Kioxia stock traded at 61.63 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 09:33 CET on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Investors can follow the real-time quote of Kioxia stock.

AI Storage Demand Drives Record Results

Revenue reached 2,480 billion yen in the three months ended September 30. Operating profit rose to 1,994.7 billion yen from 1,270 billion yen in the preceding quarter, while net profit attributable to owners of the parent company increased to 1,355.7 billion yen from 842.2 billion yen.

Kioxia attributed the improvement mainly to higher average selling prices and increased bit shipments. Demand from generative-AI data-center customers supported the storage business, although the company also reported weaker demand from smartphone and personal-computer customers.

The HDD and storage segment generated revenue of 1,616 billion yen, an increase of 441.3 billion yen from the previous quarter. Smart-device revenue rose to 788.9 billion yen, up 263.2 billion yen quarter on quarter. For the first six months of the fiscal year, revenue reached 4,247.2 billion yen, compared with 791.1 billion yen a year earlier, while operating profit climbed to 3,264.7 billion yen from 130.8 billion yen.

December Forecast Tests Growth Momentum

For October through December, Kioxia forecasts revenue of 2,500 billion yen and operating profit of 1,995 billion yen. Revenue would edge up from the September quarter, while operating profit would remain almost unchanged. The company expects shipments to be broadly flat quarter on quarter and average selling prices to rise by a low single-digit percentage.

The outlook is less aggressive than the recent results. EL7.AI cited analyst expectations of about 2.32 trillion yen for non-GAAP operating profit, compared with Kioxia's forecast of about 2 trillion yen on that measure. Kioxia also assumes an average exchange rate of 157 yen to the US dollar for the December quarter, compared with 161 yen in the preceding quarter, creating an additional earnings headwind.

Management continues to see firm demand from data-center and enterprise customers, while lower demand from phones and PCs is expected to limit the near-term mix benefit. The company also expects a stronger growth contribution in the January-to-March quarter as some enterprise-storage orders move into that period.

Kioxia's investor-relations materials identify the company as listed on TSE Prime under ticker 285A. The company also announced an interim dividend of 30 yen per share and a shareholder-return policy alongside the results.

Investors can review the broader Nikkei 225 market environment as Japan's main equity benchmark.

Further developments will center on whether AI-related storage demand offsets softer consumer-device demand and whether delayed enterprise orders support the expected recovery in the March quarter. More news and analyses on Kioxia stock will track those factors.
