London Stock Exchange Group raised its 2026 outlook on October 22, 2026, after third-quarter growth accelerated across its businesses. The company also agreed to acquire credit-data provider Octus for USD 3.535 billion, expanding its position in private and illiquid credit, according to LSEG's Q3 trading update.

Higher growth targets after Q3

Total income excluding recoveries rose 8.8 percent in the three months ended September 30, 2026, on an organic constant-currency basis. Markets led the divisions with 12.5 percent growth, followed by FTSE Russell at 10.2 percent, Risk Intelligence at 9.8 percent and Data & Analytics at 5.2 percent.

LSEG now expects organic constant-currency growth in total income excluding recoveries of at least 8.0 percent for 2026. It also targets constant-currency EBITDA margin expansion of 100 to 120 basis points and equity free cash flow of at least GBP 2.8 billion.

Octus expands private-credit reach

Octus provides credit intelligence, data and workflows for private, illiquid and distressed credit markets. LSEG expects the business to generate more than USD 300 million in revenue in 2026, with an adjusted EBITDA margin of about 40 percent.

The transaction is expected to be immediately additive to Data & Analytics organic revenue growth and supportive of LSEG's subscription-growth guidance for 2027. Completion is expected in the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory approval.
