OMV Petrom shareholders are due to meet on Friday, November 6, 2026, with a proposed increase in the Romanian group’s 2026 capital spending budget on the agenda. The proposal follows the company’s third-quarter report published on Thursday, October 29, 2026.

The OMV Petrom quarterly report says the meeting is expected to consider an increase of about 1 billion Romanian leu in the 2026 CAPEX budget, taking it to about 10 billion Romanian leu. The report links the higher investment plan mainly to increased spending on the Neptun Deep project and also points to larger investments in low- and zero-carbon projects.

Profit growth meets heavier investment

OMV Petrom reported a clean CCS operating result of 2.782 billion Romanian leu for the third quarter, up 103 percent from the year-earlier period. Clean CCS net income attributable to the parent’s shareholders increased 47 percent to 2.249 billion Romanian leu, while operating cash flow rose 67 percent to 3.651 billion Romanian leu.

The stronger operating performance came as higher commodity prices and refining margins supported the exploration and production as well as refining and marketing businesses. The company also reported a 100 percent refinery utilization rate for the quarter, compared with 96 percent a year earlier.

What investors should watch next

The November 6 vote is the immediate corporate event for investors following the strong quarterly figures. The report says first gas from Neptun Deep is expected in the first half of 2027, making execution of the development program a central medium-term issue.
