- Parker-Hannifin reported record fiscal first-quarter sales and completed the Filtration Group acquisition.
- Management raised its fiscal 2027 targets for organic growth, adjusted margins, adjusted earnings and free cash flow.
- Order rates reached double-digit growth across the business, supporting a record backlog.
Parker-Hannifin reported record fiscal 2027 first-quarter results on Thursday, November 5, after the quarter ended September 30, 2026. In its earnings release, the company reported sales of $5.992 billion, up 17.9 percent from the prior-year quarter, while organic sales increased 11.5 percent.
Record quarter raises the outlook
Net income rose to $884 million from $808 million. Diluted GAAP earnings per share increased to $6.92 from $6.29, while adjusted earnings per share climbed to a record $8.90 from $7.22. Parker said the adjusted figures exclude items including acquired-intangible amortization, integration costs, acquisition-related expenses and tariff refunds.
Adjusted segment operating margin reached a record 28.6 percent, up from 27.4 percent a year earlier. Parker raised its fiscal 2027 outlook to reported sales growth of 16.0 percent to 19.0 percent, organic sales growth of 7.5 percent to 10.5 percent and adjusted segment operating margin of 27.7 percent to 28.1 percent. Adjusted earnings per share are now expected at $36.45 to $37.25, while free cash flow guidance stands at $3.5 billion to $4.0 billion.
Acquisition expands filtration reach
The Filtration Group acquisition is now included in the fiscal 2027 outlook. Parker said the transaction expands its filtration offering and aftermarket business. Acquisition-related expenses weighed on reported results, making the distinction between GAAP and adjusted performance important for investors assessing the integration.
Diversified Industrial sales increased 20.6 percent, including 10.3 percent organic growth. Aerospace Systems sales rose 13.8 percent, with organic growth of 13.9 percent and adjusted segment operating margin of 30.7 percent.
Orders set the next test
Rolling 12-month orders increased 13 percent, and the company said its backlog reached a record $13.7 billion. The order momentum supports the raised outlook, but execution on the Filtration Group integration and the conversion of orders into sales remain central to the next reporting periods.
