Pfizer reported third-quarter results on Tuesday, November 3, and raised its 2026 financial outlook as newer products offset continued weakness in its COVID portfolio. CNBC reported that revenue of 16.58 billion US dollars and adjusted earnings of 0.87 US dollars per share exceeded analyst expectations.

The company now expects full-year revenue of 62.0 billion to 64.0 billion US dollars, compared with its previous range of 60.5 billion to 62.5 billion US dollars. Adjusted earnings guidance increased to 2.95 to 3.05 US dollars per share from 2.80 to 3.00 US dollars.

Outlook rises on newer products

Pfizer said newly launched and acquired products contributed 3.8 billion US dollars in the quarter and grew 32 percent operationally. Eliquis revenue rose 25 percent to 2.52 billion US dollars, while Padcev generated 720 million US dollars. Total quarterly revenue was broadly flat year over year, highlighting the continuing transition away from pandemic-era COVID products.

CNBC also reported a one-time 650 million US dollar charge tied to Pfizer's licensing and collaboration agreement with Innovent Biologics. The charge reduced adjusted earnings by 0.10 US dollars per share, making the adjusted guidance range particularly relevant when assessing underlying operating momentum.

Pipeline data add a second catalyst

On October 27, Pfizer announced that the Phase 3 MagnetisMM-32 study of ELREXFIO met its primary progression-free-survival endpoint in adults with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. Pfizer said more than 75 percent of patients receiving ELREXFIO had not experienced disease progression or death at the analysis, with estimated progression-free survival of 68 percent at 18 months.

The company's announcement also said overall-survival data remain immature and that Pfizer plans to submit the findings to global health authorities. For investors, the result supports the oncology pipeline, but regulatory review, further follow-up and the medicine's safety profile remain important next steps.
