Robinhood Markets reported record third-quarter revenue on October 27, 2026, as transaction-based income and newer financial products expanded faster than the company's core cryptocurrency business. The company's official earnings release said total net revenue reached 1.424 billion US dollars for the quarter ended September 30, up 12 percent from a year earlier.
Robinhood Markets stock traded at 76.73 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 12:32 CET on Friday, October 30, 2026.
Robinhood Markets stock faces a broader growth test as the platform adds products beyond its original retail brokerage offer. The company said it now has 14 business lines generating at least 100 million US dollars in annualized revenue. Rothera, its prediction-markets business, passed that threshold in its first full quarter of operation.
Trading mix broadens in Q3
Transaction-based revenue rose 19 percent to 867 million US dollars. Event-contract revenue increased more than sixfold to 173 million US dollars, while options revenue climbed 31 percent to 399 million US dollars and equities revenue rose 41 percent to 121 million US dollars.
Cryptocurrency revenue fell 55 percent to 120 million US dollars, reflecting a weaker contribution from crypto activity. Net interest revenue declined 9 percent to 415 million US dollars, primarily because of lower securities-lending activity and short-term interest rates. Other revenue increased 61 percent to 142 million US dollars, helped by Trump Account service revenue and higher Robinhood Gold subscription revenue.
Net income fell 14 percent to 476 million US dollars, while diluted earnings per share declined 16 percent to 0.51 US dollars. The result included 67 million US dollars of unrealized losses, primarily related to Robinhood Ventures Fund I. Adjusted net income decreased 3 percent to 550 million US dollars, and adjusted earnings per share fell 3 percent to 0.60 US dollars.
New products drive platform scale
Robinhood said total platform assets increased 19 percent year over year to 396 billion US dollars. Net deposits reached 15.7 billion US dollars in the quarter, and funded customers increased 7 percent to 28.7 million. Investment accounts rose 9 percent to 30.4 million.
Gold subscribers increased 34 percent to 5.2 million, while average revenue per user rose 5 percent to 200 US dollars on an annualized basis. The company also said equity notional trading volume reached a record 992 billion US dollars and options contracts traded rose 48 percent to 905 million.
Chief Executive Vlad Tenev said customers were trusting Robinhood with more assets as the company delivered its product roadmap. Chief Financial Officer Shiv Verma said October net deposits had exceeded 13 billion US dollars month to date, including 6 billion US dollars from the Dell family's contribution to Trump Accounts. The comments came in the company's official earnings release.
Expense discipline remains in focus
Robinhood lowered the top end of its 2026 adjusted operating expense and share-based compensation outlook by 25 million US dollars. The new range is 2.675 billion to 2.75 billion US dollars, compared with the previous ceiling of 2.775 billion US dollars. The company attributed the change to ongoing efficiency gains.
The outlook excludes provisions for credit losses, costs tied to pending acquisitions, selected restructuring and CFO-transition awards, operating-classified interest expenses, potential significant regulatory matters and other significant expenses. That qualification matters for investors because the adjusted range does not represent a forecast for total operating expenses.
Robinhood's expansion creates both growth opportunities and execution demands. Prediction markets, Gold, credit products, banking and international initiatives can broaden revenue, but the quarter also showed pressure from credit-loss provisions, lower crypto revenue and non-operating investment losses. The key question for the stock is whether newer products can sustain platform growth without eroding profitability.
