- Salesforce agreed to acquire Cresta, whose voice agents handle complex customer calls and support service representatives.
- The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of fiscal year 2028, subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals.
Salesforce announced on Monday, November 2, 2026, that it had signed a definitive agreement to acquire Cresta, a voice-first operating system for customer experience. The announcement adds a new artificial intelligence asset to Salesforce's service portfolio.
Voice agents target complex calls
According to Salesforce, Cresta's voice agents resolve complex customer calls, guide human representatives in real time and analyze interactions. The platform serves brands including Marriott, Comcast and Alaska Airlines, Salesforce said.
The combination is intended to connect customer history and business systems with voice conversations. Salesforce said Cresta will continue supporting the contact center and telephony platforms used by its customers after closing.
Closing remains subject to approvals
The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of fiscal year 2028. Customary closing conditions include required regulatory approvals, so the announcement does not mark a completed acquisition.
For investors, the deal broadens Salesforce's push to place AI agents inside customer-service workflows. The commercial significance will depend on closing and on the integration of Cresta's voice technology with Salesforce's existing service products.
