- Berkshire Hathaway disclosed additional Sirius XM purchases covering three trading days.
- Sirius XM raised its full-year outlook after third-quarter results and reported stronger cash generation.
- Pandora usage, subscriber trends and leverage remain important risks for investors.
Berkshire Hathaway's latest Sirius XM purchases have put the audio company back in focus for investors. Yahoo Finance reported on Wednesday, November 4, that a Form 4 filed on November 3 disclosed purchases of 924,281 Sirius XM shares on October 30, November 2 and November 3. Berkshire's beneficial ownership rose to 125,731,398 shares.
The filing shows completed transactions but does not state whether Berkshire intends to continue buying, what stake it is targeting or why the purchases were made. That limits the filing's use as a direct signal about future capital allocation.
Cash flow supports the investment case
Sirius XM's third-quarter revenue was 2.153 billion US dollars, down 0.3 percent year over year, while GAAP earnings per share came in at 0.78 US dollars. Management raised full-year guidance for the second consecutive quarter to about 8.55 billion US dollars of revenue, 2.65 billion US dollars of adjusted EBITDA and 1.4 billion US dollars of free cash flow, according to the Yahoo Finance report.
Quarterly free cash flow rose 14 percent to 293 million US dollars. Adjusted EBITDA margin expanded to 32 percent as programming, customer service and marketing costs declined. Management also said lower satellite spending could support significantly faster share repurchases in 2027.
Operational risks remain visible
The same report highlighted pressure points. Pandora monthly users fell 7 percent and ad-supported listening hours declined 10 percent. Equipment revenue dropped 16 percent amid higher memory-chip costs, while net leverage stood at 3.3 times adjusted EBITDA. Management expects a more difficult fourth quarter for subscribers.
Sirius XM stock traded at 29.10 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 22:31 CET on Friday, November 6, 2026.
