- SpaceX completed the classified USSF-432 mission for the U.S. Space Force from Vandenberg Space Force Base.
- The Falcon 9 first stage completed its eighth flight and landed on a drone ship in the Pacific.
- The mission adds another national-security launch to SpaceX's expanding 2026 flight program.
SpaceX completed a classified national-security launch for the U.S. Space Force on Friday, November 6, adding a concrete operational milestone to the company's week. Space.com reported that a Falcon 9 lifted off from Vandenberg Space Force Base at 4:48 p.m. local time and began the USSF-432 mission.
Falcon 9 completes another mission
The launch marked the 119th Falcon 9 flight of 2026, according to Space.com. The publication said the rocket's first stage landed on the drone ship Of Course I Still Love You in the Pacific after its eighth flight.
The mission's payload remains classified. Space.com said the upper stage continued carrying the payload into orbit after the webcast ended roughly 10 minutes into the flight. The report cited outside speculation that the mission could involve low-Earth-orbit satellites for the Space-Based Sensing and Targeting portfolio, but no official payload details were released.
For investors, the launch reinforces SpaceX's role as a high-cadence provider for commercial and government missions. It also highlights the operating value of reusable Falcon 9 hardware, although the classified nature of USSF-432 limits the information available on mission economics and payload performance.
Mobile network remains a parallel theme
SpaceX's communications ambitions also remained in focus during the week. Qualcomm announced on November 4 that SpaceX had selected its Dragonwing cellular infrastructure platforms for Starlink Mobile's planned U.S. terrestrial 5G network, with nationwide deployment intended to begin in 2027.
Space.com reported the USSF-432 launch and booster recovery.
