- Takeda's first-half revenue gained at actual exchange rates but declined on a constant-exchange-rate basis.
- New medicine launches and regulatory progress are central to the company's Horizon One strategy.
- Capital Markets Day on December 11 is the next stated event for investors.
Takeda reported first-half FY2026 results on October 29, highlighting new product launches, pipeline progress and a higher full-year outlook. The release from Takeda adds fresh information to the company's launch-focused growth story.
Growth Still Depends On Execution
Revenue for the six months ended September 30 increased 8.4 percent at actual exchange rates but declined 1.0 percent at constant exchange rates. Core operating profit rose 11.2 percent at actual exchange rates and 0.7 percent at constant exchange rates, while reported operating profit benefited from the end of VYVANSE intangible-asset amortization and lower impairment charges.
Takeda said ORZEYFUL was approved in the United States, Japan and China for narcolepsy type 1, with launches already completed in Japan and China. MIMRYLO launched in the United States in August for erythrocytosis in polycythemia vera. Zasocitinib has received FDA Priority Review, while the European Medicines Agency is reviewing the application.
Higher Forecast, Currency Tailwind
Takeda raised its FY2026 revenue forecast to JPY 4.7 trillion from JPY 4.64 trillion and lifted its core operating profit forecast to JPY 1.19 trillion from JPY 1.16 trillion. The company said the upgrade mainly reflects a foreign-exchange benefit, while constant-exchange-rate guidance still points to a low-single-digit revenue decline.
Takeda stock traded at 19.50 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 15:29 CET on Thursday, November 5, 2026. That is 5.41 percent above the 18.50-euro Lang & Schwarz quote cited in the previous report on October 27.
