- Third-quarter revenue and adjusted earnings grew strongly, supported by broad-based HVAC demand.
- Bookings increased across all segments, while the backlog reached 12.5 billion US dollars.
- Management raised its full-year revenue growth outlook but kept adjusted earnings guidance unchanged.
Trane Technologies reported strong third-quarter results on Thursday, October 29, 2026, and lifted its full-year revenue outlook. In the earnings release carried by Business Wire, the climate-solutions group said demand for commercial heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems supported broad-based growth.
Net revenue rose 18 percent year over year to 6.760 billion US dollars in the quarter ended September 30. Organic revenue growth was 16 percent. Adjusted continuing earnings per share increased 25 percent to 4.86 US dollars, while GAAP continuing earnings per share reached 4.79 US dollars, compared with 3.82 US dollars a year earlier.
Bookings Strengthen Forward Visibility
Bookings increased 21 percent to 7.248 billion US dollars, with organic bookings up 20 percent. The company said bookings grew across all three reporting segments, and its backlog reached 12.5 billion US dollars. Management attributed the momentum to customer demand for sustainability, energy efficiency and related climate technologies.
The Americas remained the main growth engine. Revenue in the segment rose 21 percent to 5.648 billion US dollars, including about two percentage points from acquisitions, while organic revenue advanced 19 percent. Adjusted operating margin expanded to 22.3 percent from 21.8 percent in the prior-year quarter.
Conditions were more difficult outside the Americas. EMEA revenue increased only 1 percent on a reported basis and 2 percent organically, while adjusted operating margin declined to 17.2 percent from 19.7 percent. Asia Pacific revenue grew 8 percent, but its adjusted operating margin fell to 18.6 percent from 22.5 percent. The figures show that strong demand does not eliminate regional cost, foreign-exchange and execution risks.
Revenue Guidance Moves Higher
Trane Technologies now expects reported revenue growth of approximately 13.5 percent for 2026 and organic revenue growth of approximately 11 percent, both measured against 2025. The company reaffirmed adjusted continuing earnings per share guidance of 15.20 to 15.30 US dollars. GAAP continuing earnings per share guidance stands at approximately 15.00 to 15.10 US dollars, including 0.20 US dollars of non-GAAP adjustments.
Management also highlighted cash generation. Free cash flow for the first nine months was 2.828 billion US dollars, compared with 1.786 billion US dollars in the same period of 2025. Through October, the company said it had deployed or committed about 3.4 billion US dollars to dividends, acquisitions and share repurchases.
Trane Technologies stock traded at 384.20 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 10:41:48 Berlin time on Friday, October 30. The real-time quote of Trane Technologies stock provides the latest trading indication.
For investors, the higher revenue outlook improves the near-term growth narrative, while unchanged earnings guidance signals that margin, tax and supply-chain factors remain important to the second-half result. The next major operating milestone is the fourth-quarter report, when the company will need to convert its elevated backlog into revenue and earnings.
The broader S&P 500 market theme remains relevant for valuation-sensitive industrial stocks.
