- Uber reported its fifth consecutive quarter of at least 20 percent gross-bookings growth.
- Mobility revenue declined while Delivery and Freight expanded, widening the contrast between the business lines.
- Management expects continued platform growth and a larger driverless fleet through 2027.
Uber Technologies reported its third-quarter results for the period ended September 30, 2026, on Wednesday, November 4. In its earnings release, the company said platform demand and adjusted profitability continued to expand, although reported GAAP earnings were affected by investment revaluations and an unusually favorable prior-year tax comparison.
Bookings Keep The Platform Expanding
Gross Bookings rose to 59.819 billion US dollars from 49.740 billion US dollars a year earlier. Uber said this was its fifth consecutive quarter with growth of at least 20 percent. Trips increased 16 percent to 4.061 billion, while Monthly Active Platform Consumers grew 14 percent to 215 million.
The segment picture was uneven. Mobility Gross Bookings increased 18 percent to 29.512 billion US dollars, but Mobility revenue fell 2 percent to 7.520 billion US dollars. Delivery Gross Bookings advanced 22 percent to 28.539 billion US dollars and Delivery revenue grew 23 percent to 5.488 billion US dollars. Freight Gross Bookings rose 35 percent to 1.768 billion US dollars, with revenue up 34 percent to 1.758 billion US dollars.
Adjusted Profit Outpaces Revenue
Revenue increased 10 percent to 14.766 billion US dollars. Uber said business model changes reduced reported and constant-currency revenue growth by eight percentage points, helping explain why recognized revenue grew more slowly than platform bookings.
GAAP income from operations rose 30 percent to 1.447 billion US dollars. Non-GAAP Operating Income increased 38 percent to 2.304 billion US dollars, lifting its margin to a record 3.9 percent of Gross Bookings from 3.4 percent in the year-earlier quarter. Adjusted EBITDA rose 31 percent to 2.963 billion US dollars, while Non-GAAP EPS advanced 35 percent to 0.88 US dollars.
GAAP net income attributable to Uber fell to 512 million US dollars from 6.626 billion US dollars. The comparison included a 4.9 billion US dollar tax valuation benefit and a 1.5 billion US dollar investment revaluation gain in the prior-year quarter. The latest period included a 476 million US dollar pretax loss from equity investment revaluations, making the adjusted measures more relevant for assessing underlying operating performance.
Fourth-Quarter Targets And Autonomy
For the fourth quarter, Uber expects Gross Bookings of 63.25 billion to 65.25 billion US dollars, representing constant-currency growth of 18 percent to 22 percent. Non-GAAP EPS is forecast at 0.95 to 0.99 US dollars, alongside Adjusted EBITDA of 3.13 billion to 3.23 billion US dollars.
Chief Executive Dara Khosrowshahi said Uber was investing to expand Mobility supply, build on Delivery momentum and deepen platform engagement. He also said the company expects approximately 700 fully driverless vehicles on Uber by year-end and more than 2,000 in 2027. For investors, Mobility supply and the conversion of bookings into revenue remain key operating indicators alongside the autonomous rollout.
