Consolidated Sales: EUR 274.0 million (EUR 251.8 million in the previous year) EBIT: EUR 20.7 million (EUR 20.4 million in the previous year) EBIT margin: 7.5% (8.1% in the previous year) Despite challenging operating conditions, the long-term strategic direction remains unchanged Ulm, August 14, 2026 - Uzin Utz SE, an internationally active manufacturer of products and systems for floor installation, recorded strong sales growth in the first half of 2026. With consolidated sales of âŹ274.0 million, the company achieved organic growth of 8.8% compared with the previous year (first half of 2025: âŹ251.8 million), thereby performing in line with its strategic âGrow Biggerâ target range. At âŹ20.7 million (first half of 2025: âŹ20.4 million), earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) for the first half of 2026 were on a par with the previous year. The EBIT margin, at 7.5 per cent (first half of 2025: 8.1 per cent), was slightly below the previous yearâs figure. A challenging economic environment Uzin Utz is addressing the challenging operating environment with targeted strategic management measures and consistent cost optimisation. As a result, the Group is expected to be able to cushion the impact of geopolitical developments â including rising energy prices, volatile raw material prices, supply chain constraints and increasing inflationary risks â on its earnings performance in 2026 to a greater extent than was anticipated at the end of the first quarter. Among other things, the measures aim to further improve operational efficiency, adapt cost structures to the changed operating environment and strengthen the Groupâs resilience in the long term. At the same time, Uzin Utz is consistently pursuing its strategic focus on innovation, internationalisation and the development of holistic flooring solutions. Forecast for the 2026 financial year Despite the ongoing uncertainties, the Board of Uzin Utz SE has confirmed its forecast for sales development in the 2026 financial year, against the backdrop of the dynamic year-on-year increase in sales in the first half of the year (Q1 2026: +6.6 per cent, Q2 2026: +11.0 per cent). The Group continues to expect a slight year-on-year increase in sales revenue. In light of current geopolitical developments, the earnings forecast is being refined. As things stand, the negative impacts â in particular those arising from the war in the Middle East and supply chain disruptions caused by low water levels on numerous supply routes used by key suppliers â are expected to have a less significant effect on earnings than was previously anticipated in the first quarter, thanks to the strategic management measures and cost optimisations implemented across the Group. The Board therefore expects a slight to moderate decline in EBIT for the 2026 financial year compared with the previous yearâs level. Uzin Utz will closely monitor further developments in the geopolitical and economic environment and, where necessary, take targeted measures to counteract any adverse effects. The Groupâs long-term strategic direction remains unaffected by this. (Note: According to the currently applicable forecast intervals, deviations from the previous year of up to 2 per cent are classified as âunchangedâ, those between 2 per cent and 10 per cent as âslightâ, those between 10 per cent and 20 per cent as âmoderateâ, those between 20 per cent and 30 per cent as âsignificantâ, and those above 30 per cent as âsubstantialâ.) Comments from the Board on the first half of 2026 Christian Richter, CFO: âGeopolitical developments and their associated impact on energy prices, commodity markets and supply chains continue to pose an enormous challenge. At the same time, it is clear that the measures we have taken to actively manage our business and optimise our cost structures are having an effect, enabling us to continue working with focus on our âGrow Biggerâ strategy.â Julian Utz, COO: âWe have delivered a successful half-year, despite the continuing very challenging geopolitical environment. With its efficient production facilities and forward-looking procurement, Uzin Utz ensures the necessary stability and flexibility. At the same time, our innovative strength secures our strong positioning in key markets and our profitable growth trajectory.â Philipp Utz, CSO: âAlongside the structural transformation of the Group, we are consistently driving forward our âGrow Biggerâ growth strategy. A systematic expansion of our product range and entry into new markets are enabling us to pursue a sales policy geared towards long-term growth. As part of our strategy, we have also defined further comprehensive initiatives to strengthen our competitiveness.â The interim report for the first half of 2026 is available on the Uzin Utz SE Investor Relations website at https://int.uzin-utz.com/investors/financial-reports .
