Veolia accelerated its operating momentum in the third quarter, while management kept its full-year objectives unchanged. The update released on Thursday, November 5, 2026, showed that international operations and water activities were the main contributors to the stronger performance.
Revenue rose 5.0 percent in the third quarter at constant scope and foreign exchange, excluding energy prices, according to Veolia's nine-month 2026 key figures. For the first nine months, revenue reached 33.310 billion euros, up 2.6 percent on the same basis. EBITDA increased 5.1 percent to 5.404 billion euros, lifting the EBITDA margin by 50 basis points to 16.2 percent.
International markets drive the acceleration
The geographic mix remained a key differentiator. Latin America reported the strongest growth among the disclosed regions, with revenue up 10.9 percent to 1.589 billion euros. North America increased 4.8 percent to 2.680 billion euros, while Northern Europe grew 5.1 percent to 3.303 billion euros.
Water revenue advanced 2.6 percent over the nine-month period, supported by tariff increases, higher volumes and commercial gains. Water Technologies declined 2.5 percent overall but grew 2.6 percent excluding projects, as order intake improved and delayed Middle East activity began to recover.
Portfolio transformation remains central
Veolia said its disposal plan was progressing, with 570 million euros of disposals already signed at an average multiple of 10.4 times EBITDA against a target of more than 2 billion euros. The company also described the integration of Clean Earth in the United States as off to a successful start.
Veolia's current EBIT rose 6.7 percent to 2.950 billion euros before the Suez and Clean Earth purchase price allocation effects. Management fully confirmed its 2026 guidance and the trajectory of its GreenUp strategy.
