The BNB price remains under scrutiny after Binance began restoring customer withdrawals in phases following a security incident on October 29. Binance said the first phase was scheduled to begin on November 1 between 06:00 and 09:00 UTC, with BNB included for withdrawals on BNB Smart Chain.

In its recovery update, Binance said withdrawals were being reopened progressively after security assessments and operational checks. The first phase covered 15 networks and associated assets, including BNB, Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP, USDT and USDC. Binance also said deposits remained open during the suspension.

Replenishment and withdrawal pressure

Binance said approximately 95% of the affected amount had been replenished, up from 90% in its previous update. The exchange attributed the remaining 5% to less liquid tokens that required more time to source. It also said the balances of BNB and several other major assets were fully backed at 100% and that the company would absorb the financial impact of the stolen funds.

According to Aletihad, citing Reuters, Binance processed 4.649 billion USD of withdrawals and 1.01 billion USD of deposits during the first nine and a half hours after reopening. The resulting net outflow of 3.64 billion USD represented 2.1% of the exchange's 171 billion USD in assets under management, based on its October 28 proof-of-reserves data. Binance said withdrawal volumes later declined and stabilised.

Market data and investor context

The Investing.com BNB/USD page displayed a price of 692.60 USD at 09:31:32. The same page listed a market capitalization of 91.04 billion USD, 24-hour volume of 1.32 billion USD and a rank of four. It showed a seven-day change of -7.0738% and a 52-week range of 537.60 USD to 1,018.40 USD. These figures are a displayed market snapshot, not a verified UTC day-close comparison.

The BNB price therefore faces two separate considerations: the operational progress of Binance's recovery and the market's assessment of residual security and liquidity risk. The withdrawal restart is a concrete recovery milestone, but it does not by itself establish a sustained price trend. Further updates on the remaining assets, network availability and user flows remain relevant for investors. More BNB coverage is available on the BNB topic page.
