Dogecoin (DOGE) is at the center of a commercial restructuring after the Dogecoin Foundation and House of Doge ended an exclusive trademark licensing arrangement on October 19, with a 400,000 USD payment due from a House of Doge subsidiary. The agreement also places Dogecoin Labs in the role of the foundation's official commercial partner, according to CryptoNews.
Trademark deal changes on October 19
The companies must change their names before December 31, 2026, and stop describing House of Doge as the foundation's official corporate arm or official commercial partner. Dogecoin Labs, launched on October 21, combines the MyDoge wallet, the DogeOS application platform and Such App, which provides merchant invoicing and in-person QR payments.
The agreement gives House of Doge an economic interest through a planned exchange of Such App assets for Labs shares. The asset transfer had not closed as of October 23, and the reported conditions include lender consent, lien releases and the transfer of key assets, according to CryptoNews.
ETF assets stayed flat on October 24
Dogecoin spot ETFs recorded zero net flows on October 24, while their cumulative net inflows stood at 15.05 million USD and net assets at 14.44 million USD, according to TokenPost. A zero net flow means that creations and redemptions balance for the session, although investors can still trade existing ETF shares.
Dogecoin Labs adds a development route beyond direct coin transfers. DogeOS opened an Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible public testnet on September 30, while MyDoge reported more than 500,000 users. CoinDesk said featured applications were still marked as coming soon and that a proposed security link for verifying applications on Dogecoin's network remained in draft form, according to CoinDesk.
