Dogecoin price was 0.079928 USD on the Investing.com DOGE/USD readout for October 30, 2026, shown as a real-time quote at 15:56:55. That was 0.28 percent above the previous UTC daily close of 0.079703 USD reported by TokenPost for October 29. The move is below the 5 percent threshold for a price-led main story, so the more relevant development is the restructuring of Dogecoin's commercial framework.
Exclusive branding agreement ends
The Dogecoin Foundation and House of Doge mutually ended their exclusive trademark licensing arrangement, effective October 19, according to an account published by CryptoNews, which cited agreements included in House of Doge's October 23 SEC filing. The termination requires House of Doge and its US subsidiary to change their names before December 31, 2026. It also requires the subsidiary to pay a negotiated 400,000 USD termination amount when sufficient funds become available. Payment may be made in cash, parent-company shares or a combination of both.
Dogecoin Labs takes a larger role
The revised arrangement names Dogecoin Labs as the Foundation's new official commercial partner. House of Doge retains a non-exclusive licence for three existing 21Shares products: a Dogecoin ETF, a Dogecoin ETP and a 2x Long Dogecoin ETF. The licence runs initially through October 19, 2029, but does not preserve official-partner status or broader rights for payments, merchandise or corporate naming.
The new structure also includes a planned transfer of Such App software, source code, domains and related infrastructure to Dogecoin Labs in exchange for Labs shares with an agreed value of 4 million USD. CryptoNews reported that the transaction had not closed as of the October 23 filing and remained subject to lender consents, lien releases and other closing conditions.
What it means for DOGE holders
The arrangement changes commercial branding and ownership of certain product assets, but the cited reports do not establish a direct effect on the Dogecoin network or provide evidence that the latest price movement was caused by the agreement. The latest Dogecoin price remains close to the October 29 daily close, while the Foundation's stewardship and open-source development support continue under the revised commercial setup.
