Ethereum (ETH) spot ETFs recorded 320.1 million USD in net outflows from October 12 through October 16. The figures were reported from daily flow data published by Toobit, while the Ethereum price stands at 2,497.88 USD as of October 22, 2026, up 2.50 percent compared with the UTC daily close of October 15, 2026.
Five sessions end with ETF withdrawals
Spot Ether ETFs are exchange-traded funds that hold Ether directly. The daily record cited by Toobit shows net outflows of 85.4 million USD on October 12, inflows of 24.8 million USD on October 13, and outflows of 129.5 million USD on October 14. Outflows continued at 60.3 million USD on October 15 and 69.7 million USD on October 16. The report said BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust accounted for 299 million USD of the weekly outflows.
The flow figures track creations and redemptions of ETF shares, rather than changes in fund assets caused by Ether's market price. That distinction separates investor transactions from valuation changes inside the funds.
Hoodi reaches a 200 million gas limit
The Ethereum Foundation scheduled the Glamsterdam network upgrade for the Hoodi testnet on October 26, 2026, at 17:42:48 UTC. At the same activation point, Hoodi's gas limit will rise to 200 million, according to the Ethereum Foundation. Gas is the unit used to measure the computational work required by transactions. The upgrade tests proposer-builder separation, block-level access lists and revised gas accounting.
The October 26, 2026, schedule applies to Hoodi, a public test network. The Ethereum Foundation describes the deployment as a testnet activation, so the 200 million gas limit is a testing parameter rather than a mainnet setting. Node operators on Hoodi must update their execution and consensus clients before the activation, according to the Foundation.
