Ethereum price remains in focus as investors assess weaker institutional demand and a delay to the network's next major testnet upgrade. The Investing.com quote page showed Ethereum at 2,248.95 US dollars on November 3, with a reported market capitalization of 274.22 billion US dollars and 24-hour volume of 11.67 billion US dollars. The page ranked Ethereum second among cryptocurrencies.
The quote was displayed for ETH/USD on an always-open market, so it is not presented here as an exchange closing price. The reviewed page also showed a 52-week range of 1,507.60 to 3,913.85 US dollars. Investors should therefore distinguish the observed quote from the UTC daily comparison basis used for performance calculations.
ETF demand turns into a headwind
US spot Ether ETFs lost 1.61 billion US dollars in October, ending three consecutive months of net inflows, according to Coin Edition. The publication said the funds had attracted about 3.05 billion US dollars between July and September before the October reversal. It also reported that Ether fell 16.1 percent in October and that total net assets of the funds declined to 13.22 billion US dollars from 17.60 billion US dollars at the end of September.
That flow data indicates weaker demand through regulated investment products, but it does not by itself prove that every redemption produced an identical amount of immediate selling in the spot market. For investors, the key issue is whether ETF withdrawals continue while ETH remains below the technical levels identified by the analysis.
Glamsterdam testing remains unresolved
The Ethereum Foundation said on October 22 that the planned Glamsterdam activation on the Hoodi testnet had been postponed. In its announcement, the foundation said developers needed more time to investigate how EIP-8037 interacts with smart contracts on mainnet. The postponement removed the scheduled Amsterdam execution-layer and Gloas consensus-layer activations, as well as a planned increase in Hoodi's gas limit to 200 million. No replacement activation date has been set, and the announcement does not establish a mainnet activation date.
For the Ethereum price, the combination of ETF redemptions and an unresolved testing schedule leaves the near-term picture dependent on renewed institutional demand and progress on Glamsterdam's compatibility review. The cited market analysis placed initial resistance near 2,315 US dollars and support near 2,222 US dollars, but those levels are technical reference points rather than forecasts.
