Why did Euro Stoxx 50 fall?
US consumer inflation accelerated to 3.7 percent year over year in September, above the 3.6 percent forecast. Core inflation reached 2.6 percent against a 2.5 percent estimate, Investing.com reported.
Reuters said the inflation data revived fears of further Federal Reserve rate increases. Technology stocks fell because higher borrowing costs pressure companies funding large artificial-intelligence investments, Reuters reported.
