- Hyperliquid has permanently burned 49.87 million HYPE, according to TokenPost.
- A planned 180,000 HYPE team distribution is scheduled for November 6.
- Investing.com displayed HYPE at USD 86.5920 in its November 3 retrieval, with a market capitalization of USD 22.16 billion.
The Hyperliquid price is facing a mixed token-supply backdrop. Hyperliquid has accumulated substantial permanent burns, but a scheduled team distribution and uncertainty around a proposed U.S. market are keeping supply and execution risks in focus.
Burns strengthen the supply case
TokenPost reported that cumulative HYPE burns had reached 49.87 million tokens, equal to 4.99% of the token's 1 billion maximum supply. The report, published October 29, said the latest 24-hour burn amounted to 19,700 HYPE, valued at about USD 1.59 million, while estimated fees for that period were USD 1.69 million. TokenPost also reported cumulative protocol revenue of USD 1.38 billion, while noting that this was a historical total rather than a one-day figure. TokenPost therefore presents the burn as a continuing supply-reduction mechanism, not as a single event.
November distribution adds an overhang
A separate TokenPost report said Hyperliquid Labs had planned to unlock 180,000 HYPE on October 28 for distribution to team members on November 6. The release date and the distribution date are separate parts of the schedule. The planned allocation does not by itself prove that recipients will sell: tokens can also be retained, transferred or staked. Nevertheless, the event gives traders a dated supply item to monitor. TokenPost identified the allocation as part of a monthly team plan.
Price and market context
In the November 3 retrieval, Investing.com displayed HYPE at USD 86.5920 at 07:36:41 Berlin time. The same page showed a market capitalization of USD 22.16 billion, 24-hour volume of USD 1.16 billion and a rank of 9. Because the page did not provide a verified UTC day-close comparison in the retrieved data, the quoted intraday change is not presented here as a UTC daily performance figure.
Market structure adds another qualification. 24/7 Wall St. reported on November 2 that leveraged long positions below HYPE's price totaled USD 612 million, while an additional USD 411 million in short positions sat above it. The same article said two large holders had sold USD 109 million of HYPE after ICE announced plans for Hyperliquid-based perpetual futures in the United States. The proposal remains subject to regulatory approval and has no confirmed launch date, so it is a potential catalyst rather than an operating result.
What HYPE holders should watch
The near-term setup combines a demonstrable burn mechanism with a smaller scheduled distribution and a regulatory-dependent expansion narrative. The burn can reduce supply over time, but it does not eliminate volatility or guarantee that market demand will absorb future distributions. The next useful checkpoints are the November 6 team allocation, further burn data and any concrete regulatory or launch update on the proposed U.S. product.
