Hyperliquid price weighs smaller contributor distribution and whale profit taking

- Hyperliquid was scheduled to distribute 180,000 HYPE to core contributors on November 6, far below the 9.92 million tokens listed in a projected vesting calendar.
- Investing.com displayed HYPE at 78.5220 USD, with a market capitalization of 19.88 billion USD and 24-hour volume of 1.00 billion USD when the price page was read on November 7.
- TokenPost reported that four tracked large wallets realized about 5 million USD during October's rally, while stressing that the figures do not cover all Hyperliquid users.
Hyperliquid price analysis is focused on two supply signals after a scheduled contributor distribution and reported profit taking by large wallets. The token was listed at 78.5220 USD on Investing.com when its HYPE/USD page was read on November 7. The same page showed a market capitalization of 19.88 billion USD, 24-hour volume of 1.00 billion USD and a 52-week range of 20.5126 to 97.9760 USD.
Contributor distribution was smaller
COINOTAG reported that 180,000 HYPE were scheduled for distribution to core contributors on November 6. The report valued that allocation at 15.72 million USD and said it represented 0.08% of released supply. It contrasted the committed amount with 9.92 million HYPE shown in a projected vesting calendar, making the planned distribution about 1.8% of the calendar figure.
The distinction matters for investors: a projected maximum is not the same as a confirmed transfer. The report said the entire 180,000 HYPE allocation was earmarked for core contributors, rather than for an ecosystem fund or wider community distribution. The tokens could become transferable after reaching recipients, but the source did not establish that every recipient sold.
Whale activity adds volatility
In a November 6 report, TokenPost said four large tracked wallets realized about 5 million USD during October's rally. One wallet reportedly sold HYPE as the token approached 94 to 95 USD and recorded a profit of 2,395,168 USD. TokenPost also noted that the blockchain data covered tracked positions, not all market participants, and did not establish the traders' motives.
The Hyperliquid price therefore faces a mixed near-term setup: the confirmed contributor amount described by COINOTAG is materially below the projected schedule, while profitable large-wallet activity shows that supply can still enter the market during rallies. Neither source establishes a direct causal link between those events and the quoted price.
Network fundamentals remain relevant
Hyperliquid describes itself as a layer-one blockchain supporting perpetual futures and spot trading, with HyperCore and HyperEVM secured by HyperBFT. Its project website says HYPE has a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens and is used for staking, governance, gas fees, trading-fee discounts and asset deployment fees. The website also states that 99% of protocol revenue is directed to the Assistance Fund, which automatically purchases and burns HYPE.
For market participants, the key watchpoints are the effective vesting schedule, any transfers from contributor wallets and whether trading demand absorbs new supply. Further coverage is available on the Hyperliquid topic page.
