- The index closed November 3 at 3,284.44 points, down 0.08 percent.
- Oil-price swings and reports of diplomatic progress in the Middle East shaped the session.
- ABB led the index, while Boliden and EQT were among the weakest major constituents.
The OMXS30 ended Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at 3,284.44 points, down 0.08 percent from the previous close of 3,287.02. The Stockholm large-cap index therefore finished only marginally lower after a notably uneven session.
Placera, citing Finwire, reported that the market recovered during the afternoon after oil prices turned lower on signals of diplomatic progress in the Middle East. The improved tone did not hold through the final part of the session, leaving the index slightly in the red. Trading across the Stockholm exchange totaled about 22.4 billion Swedish kronor.
Oil and materials weigh on the market
The sector pattern reflected the changing risk mood. Industrials and consumer staples each gained 0.2 percent, while basic materials and energy fell 1.1 percent. The combination of commodity-sensitive weakness and a late loss of momentum limited the index recovery.
Investing.com reported that losses in basic materials, oil and gas, and telecoms led the decline. The breadth data showed 415 falling stocks against 323 rising stocks on the Stockholm exchange, with 67 unchanged.
ABB outperforms as Boliden retreats
Within the OMXS30, ABB was the strongest major performer, rising 1.74 percent. SCA B gained 0.92 percent and Atlas Copco A advanced 0.83 percent. On the weaker side, Boliden dropped 3.33 percent, EQT fell 1.63 percent and SKF B declined 1.57 percent, according to Investing.com.
The session also featured substantial moves in companies outside the index as quarterly reports continued. Placera reported that Truecaller fell almost 16 percent after reporting lower third-quarter revenue and a negative net result, with a 92 million Swedish kronor tax provision linked to a dispute with Indian tax authorities. The developments illustrate how company-specific reporting remained an important source of volatility even as the index itself ended nearly unchanged.
Nasdaq describes the OMX Stockholm 30 as a modified free-float market-capitalization-weighted index of 30 large and actively traded Stockholm-listed shares. Further OMXS30 coverage is available on the OMXS30 topic page.
