The USDC price was 1.0010 USD on October 30, 2026, when the Investing.com USDC/USD page was read at 07:14:11 Berlin time. The page showed a daily range of 1.0009 to 1.0011 USD, 24-hour volume of 12.73 billion USD and market capitalization of 71.26 billion USD. Its displayed circulating amount was 71.28 billion USDC. The figures describe a point-in-time market snapshot and do not establish a verified UTC daily change.

For investors, the central feature remains the token's dollar peg rather than conventional price appreciation. Circle says on its USDC overview that USDC is designed to be redeemable one-for-one for US dollars and backed by highly liquid cash and cash-equivalent assets. Circle's website reported 71.0 billion USDC in circulation as of October 26, 2026. That company figure uses a different date and source context from the Investing.com market snapshot.

European oversight moves closer

The European Banking Authority classified USDC on October 14 as the first significant e-money token among 45 notified tokens under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, according to TokenPost. Direct EBA supervision of the EU issuer is scheduled to begin on November 12. The authority will oversee areas including own funds, reserve assets, liquidity and recovery and redemption plans, while France's ACPR will retain responsibilities such as governance and outsourcing.

Circle has asked the European Commission to replace a fixed 60 percent bank-deposit minimum for significant issuers with a broader liquidity standard. TokenPost reported that the request had not taken effect, leaving the existing requirement in place. The regulatory change is therefore an upcoming supervisory milestone, not a completed alteration to USDC's reserve framework.

Payments use case develops

Separately, ACI Worldwide and Circle announced on October 27 that they were exploring USDC settlement through ACI Connetic, initially focusing on Colombia's Bre-B instant-payments infrastructure. The companies said the pilot is intended to let financial institutions evaluate stablecoin settlement alongside traditional payment rails. ACI Worldwide described the initiative as an examination of how regulated digital-asset settlement can fit into familiar banking and payment operations.

The combination of the USDC price near its peg, tighter European supervision and live payment experiments points to a utility-led investment context. It does not, by itself, indicate a speculative return opportunity: the token is designed to preserve dollar value, while regulatory implementation and reserve arrangements remain the more relevant factors for users and institutions.
