- Drilling expanded the known gold system and kept the Last Hope deposit open along strike and down-plunge.
- The results are intended to support further targeting and an updated mineral resource estimate.
55 North Gold reported on July 8, 2026, that drilling at its Last Hope gold deposit in northern Manitoba extended gold mineralization beyond the current resource area. The announcement, carried by Simply Wall St, said the program also confirmed continuity within the deposit and an open system along strike and down-plunge.
Drilling Keeps Resource Open
The campaign returned several gold-bearing intervals. Hole LH26-02 intersected 19.42 metres grading 2.49 grams per tonne of gold, including 4.50 metres at 5.34 grams per tonne. Hole LH26-04 returned 2.56 metres at 6.91 grams per tonne, including 1.33 metres at 12.60 grams per tonne.
55 North said the seven-hole program combined infill drilling with southeast step-outs. The results are expected to guide further drilling and contribute to work on an updated mineral resource estimate. The existing 2021 estimate contains indicated and inferred resources, but mineral resources are not mineral reserves and do not demonstrate economic viability.
