Exploration remains the central driver
Hycroft said it had completed approximately 18,700 meters of drilling since the 2025-2026 exploration program began. Work continues at the Brimstone and Vortex high-grade silver systems, which the company says remain open in all directions and at depth.
Conceptual design work for a high-grade underground mine and processing facility is substantially complete. The company plans to incorporate that work into project optimization in 2027, while a trade-off study comparing roasting with pressure oxidation is expected to produce results in the first quarter of 2027.
Milestones extend into 2027
Heap-leach metallurgical testing is underway and is expected to finish in the first half of 2027. Those studies are important for the development path because they address how Hycroft could process mineralization at its Nevada project.
Hycroft also appointed Michael Deal as chief operating officer and added four independent directors. Chief Financial Officer Stan Rideout is scheduled to become executive vice president and strategic adviser on March 16, 2027, while David Thomas is scheduled to retire on April 30, 2027 and remain a consultant.
Hycroft operates as a U.S.-based gold and silver exploration and development company focused on the Hycroft Mine in northern Nevada. Its activities include expanding the Brimstone and Vortex systems, advancing processing studies and evaluating the redevelopment of a property with existing mine infrastructure.
