IRulya Therapeutics is repositioning the former Quince Therapeutics around its inhaled rapamycin candidate LAM-001. In a company press release dated October 9, 2026, management said the name change took effect at 4:01 p.m. Eastern Time. The common stock was scheduled to begin trading on Nasdaq under the ticker IRLA on October 12, replacing QNCX.
LAM-001 becomes the central pipeline asset
The company is developing LAM-001 as a once-daily dry-powder inhaled formulation of rapamycin. Its stated goal is to support targeted pulmonary delivery while reducing systemic exposure compared with oral or systemic administration.
IRulya is pursuing three pulmonary indications. A Phase 2b study in pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease is ongoing, while a Phase 2 study in bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome after lung transplantation is also underway. The company said it planned to start a Phase 2 study in sarcoidosis-associated pulmonary hypertension in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Clinical milestones remain ahead
According to the company, data from the BOS program are anticipated in the first quarter of 2027. Readouts for the PH-ILD and SAPH programs are currently expected in the first quarter and fourth quarter of 2028, respectively. These are company projections, not reported clinical outcomes.
The release also described a management transition. Brigette Roberts was appointed chief executive officer, John Militello chief financial officer and Keith Fandrick chief operating officer. Former CEO and chief medical officer Dirk Thye and former COO, chief business officer and chief compliance officer Brendan Hannah resigned.
For investors, the rebrand changes the name and ticker through which the development story is presented, but the investment case remains dependent on clinical execution and future data. The company reported a cash balance of USD 116 million as of June 30, 2026, and said it expected that balance to fund operations through the end of 2028.
