LTIMindtree's second-quarter earnings call on October 16, 2026, highlighted an accelerating shift toward AI-led services. In a transcript published by MarketScreener, management described broad-based quarterly growth while pointing to faster revenue conversion from shorter-duration AI engagements.
AI becomes a larger revenue driver
Revenue reached 1.235 billion US dollars in the quarter, increasing 1.1 percent sequentially and 5.1 percent year over year on a constant-currency basis. Revenue in Indian rupees rose 1.7 percent sequentially and 13.6 percent year over year.
AI revenue represented 13.4 percent of total revenue and grew 40 percent from a year earlier. Including Enterprise AI, the combined AI revenue increase was 47 percent. Management said the shorter duration of many AI projects can support faster revenue realization, although investors will need to assess how consistently those engagements scale.
Margins hold while cash conversion weakens
EBIT margin improved by 10 basis points sequentially to 15.6 percent. Management said it is working to keep the full-year margin broadly in line with the previous year, including the expected impact of the planned Randstad Digital acquisition.
Cash conversion was weaker in the quarter. Operating cash flow to profit after tax fell to 39 percent from 79 percent in the previous quarter, with management citing gratuity funding, dividend-related tax payments and advance-tax outflows. The company said cash conversion should normalize, although some gratuity funding may continue into the next quarter.
Outlook depends on execution
Management expects the second half of FY27 to be stronger than the first half and said it is working to bring full-year growth closer to the FY26 level. It also expects the Randstad Digital approval process to be completed in the third quarter, with integration and market realignment thereafter.
For investors, the central issue is whether AI-led projects can offset pressure in traditional services and regional headwinds. The company reported 88,835 employees at the end of the quarter and added 949 employees sequentially, while its AI 1,000 programme remained on track.
