The group also reported a capital adequacy ratio of 20.3% and a return on equity of 16.0%. Both indicators were presented alongside the full-year results and provide context for the balance between growth, capital strength and profitability.
International banking supports earnings
MCB Group's investor materials highlight Corporate and Investment Banking and Private Banking as important parts of the business. The group operates through banking and financial-services activities focused on customer deposits, lending and investment services, with Mauritius as its home market and a growing international footprint.
The results give investors a clearer view of the group's earnings scale and balance-sheet expansion. The next focus will be whether loan growth, deposit gathering and international banking activity can support further profit growth without weakening capital returns.
