Neoenergia won lots 1 and 7 in Brazil's Transmission Auction No. 04/2026 on Friday, October 30, according to the company's announcement. The awards cover projects in Bahia and Paraiba with estimated investments of R$1.4 billion and 351 kilometers of new transmission lines.

The two concessions include 834 kilometers of transmission lines in total and are expected to create 3,132 jobs. Neoenergia said the result supports its selective approach to transmission, with capital discipline and a focus on long-term value creation.

Two concessions extend grid footprint

Lot 1 in Bahia includes 238 kilometers of new lines, 483 kilometers of existing lines and 700 MVA of capacity. Operations are expected to start within 48 months.

Lot 7 in Paraiba covers 113 kilometers of new transmission lines and 2,100 MVA of capacity. Commercial operations are scheduled to begin within 42 months. Both concessions are planned for 30 years from contract signing, which is scheduled for February 2027.

The projects add to Neoenergia's existing transmission platform in Brazil. The company already operates more than 8,000 kilometers of transmission lines, while its transmission subsidiary operates 16 assets through a partnership in which Neoenergia holds 51% and GIC holds 49%.
