- ITWeb reported that Zoey is intended for UK deployment in November and a US rollout around February 2027.
- The company is shifting toward a hybrid BPO model that combines automation with human handling of complex cases.
Nutun is taking its artificial intelligence strategy beyond South Africa as it develops Zoey for international collections work. Creamer Media reported on October 21, 2026, that the company launched an AI operations centre in Johannesburg in June. The centre supports a hybrid model in which automation assists human agents and advisors.
Zoey can authenticate consumers, negotiate payment commitments, offer settlement discounts and conclude payment arrangements. When a case requires additional judgment, the system can transfer the interaction to a human agent. It also operates as a quality-assurance layer, reviewing calls, ranking agent performance and surfacing consumer insights.
International rollout sets next milestone
Creamer Media described the Johannesburg centre as part of a broader shift toward digitally enabled business-process outsourcing. The report said Zoey is intended to augment the workforce rather than replace it, with human staff retaining responsibility for more complex conversations.
ITWeb reported on September 30, 2026, that Nutun was preparing a UK launch in November, followed by a US launch around February 2027. The company said Zoey is built to handle routine collections tasks while human teams manage more complex cases.
