- SASA reports stronger 2026 sales volumes and higher polyester prices after its major investment cycle.
- The company says net debt to EBITDA fell sharply in the first half of 2026 as EBITDA recovered.
- Integrated PTA production supports feedstock savings and reduces reliance on imported materials.
SASA Polyester says its operating recovery accelerated in 2026 as new capacity came on stream and polyester prices improved. In its October 2026 investor presentation, the Turkish producer describes higher sales volumes, stronger EBITDA and a completed heavy capital expenditure programme.
Recovery reaches operating results
SASA reported last-twelve-month revenue of 1.498 billion US dollars and EBITDA of 299 million US dollars for the period through the first half of 2026. The presentation attributes the improvement to rising polyester prices, increased production and the ramp-up of recently completed facilities.
Sales volumes rose 45 percent year over year in the first half of 2026, according to the company. SASA said the increase reflected both additional capacity and higher selling prices, while supply disruptions affecting Asian producers supported the polyester market.
Deleveraging remains central
The company said net debt to EBITDA declined to 8.7 times at the end of the first half of 2026 from 16.2 times at the end of 2025. SASA links the change to stronger EBITDA and the completion of its investment cycle, while management targets a further reduction in leverage.
Vertical integration is central to that strategy. SASA's PTA plant, commissioned in 2025, was operating close to full capacity in the first half of 2026 and supplied most of the company's internal PTA demand. The company estimates that the integrated setup lowers feedstock costs compared with Turkish import parity.
Business model and competitors
SASA operates an integrated polyester manufacturing complex in Adana, Türkiye, and sells PTA, polymer chips, polyester fiber, filament yarn and specialty polyester products. Its customers are served across Türkiye, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, with end markets including textiles, packaging, automotive and industrial applications. SASA presents itself as a leading integrated polyester producer in Europe and the Middle East; Simply Wall St lists Petkim Petrokimya, Kimteks Poliüretan and Bahadir Kimya among its Turkish chemical-sector competitors, placing SASA in a larger integrated polyester niche within that market.
