Washington H. Soul Pattinson will hold its 2026 annual general meeting on Friday, November 27, after completing the Brickworks merger and reshaping its investment portfolio. The company outlined the meeting agenda and FY26 developments in an ASX announcement dated October 26.
Shareholders face five resolutions
The meeting will consider the financial report for the year ended July 31, 2026, the election of Anne Loveridge and the re-election of Malcolm Bundey and Josephine Sukkar. Shareholders will also vote on the remuneration report and equity awards for Managing Director and Chief Executive Todd Barlow.
The AGM will take place at 10:00 am AEDT at The Fullerton Hotel in Sydney, with a webcast available to shareholders. Questions can be submitted before the meeting, while proxy and voting deadlines fall ahead of the November 27 event.
Merger changes portfolio profile
Soul Patts said FY26 marked a year of significant change as it integrated Brickworks. The company now invests across listed companies, fixed income, private companies, credit, emerging companies and real assets, giving investors exposure to a wider mix of assets through one listed vehicle.
The company reported FY26 net cash flow from investments of 572 million dollars, up 11.5 percent, according to the AGM materials. Statutory net profit after tax reached 2.191 billion dollars, while the fully franked annual dividend rose 7.8 percent to 111 cents per share.
Analysts weigh income and risk
Simply Wall St lists Challenger, AMP and HUB24 among Soul Patts' competitors and describes the company as an Australian investment company operating across six segments. Its latest analysis also highlights the increased exposure to private credit and offshore private equity as an issue investors may need to assess alongside the group's dividend record.
For investors, the AGM provides a near-term opportunity to assess how management plans to deploy capital after the Brickworks transaction. The central questions are whether the broader portfolio can sustain cash generation and whether the expanded private-market exposure changes the risk profile of the stock.
