Sun TV Network reported a mixed second-quarter performance on Friday, October 30, 2026, as revenue from operations fell 31 percent year on year to 801.76 crore rupees on a standalone basis while net profit rose 3 percent to 341.87 crore rupees. Advertising Pressure Weighed on Sales
Advertising revenue declined to 252.76 crore rupees from 292 crore rupees a year earlier. Standalone EBITDA dropped to 417.30 crore rupees from 749.94 crore rupees, highlighting the pressure on operating performance despite the higher net profit.
On a consolidated basis, revenue from operations fell to 940 crore rupees from 1,299.87 crore rupees in the year-earlier quarter and 1,457.88 crore rupees in the previous quarter. Consolidated profit after tax was 364.59 crore rupees, compared with 354.69 crore rupees a year earlier.
Dividend and Leadership Decisions
The board declared an interim dividend of 3.75 rupees per share. It also approved the reappointments of Kalanithi Maran as executive chairman and Kavery Kalanithi as executive director for five-year terms beginning April 20, 2027, subject to shareholder approval through a postal ballot.
The consolidated figures include revenue from SunRisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League, SunRisers Eastern Cape in South Africa's T20 competition and SunRisers Leeds in The Hundred in the United Kingdom. That cricket portfolio remains an additional business line alongside the broadcaster's core television operations.
