- The V320RC combines a 35-tonne lifting capacity with a battery system for operations in confined spaces.
- Tadano says NMG Italia recorded a 50 percent productivity increase over competing cranes under equivalent loads.
- The model adds variable-displacement hydraulics, ground-pressure monitoring and remote-control capability.
Tadano introduced the V320RC on October 28, presenting the battery-powered pick-and-carry crane as a new option for high-capacity lifting in confined industrial environments. The announcement was published by Tadano.
A battery-powered crane for confined sites
The V320RC can lift up to 35 tonnes while measuring 5,000 millimetres long, 2,150 millimetres wide and 2,400 millimetres high. Its 120-volt, 1,120-ampere-hour battery system is also available with a lithium-ion option, while the crane weighs 31,150 kilograms including removable counterweights.
The design targets industrial plants and other locations where space, floor loading and emissions restrictions limit conventional equipment. Tadano offers the crane in radio-controlled and cab-operated configurations, with attachments for different lifting requirements.
Technology supports operating efficiency
The V320RC uses a variable-displacement pump and an electro-hydraulic control valve. Tadano says the system, combined with new control software, improves manoeuvrability while helping manage energy consumption and battery use.
A patented Ground Pressure Selection System monitors wheel loads and alerts operators when ground pressure exceeds preset limits. Tadano also says NMG Italia recorded a 50 percent productivity increase over competing cranes working under equivalent loads during field operations at the Marmomac trade fair in Verona.
The machine's first major field test covered setup and dismantling work at Marmomac. Tadano and NMG Italia said the cooperation will continue as they develop further lifting solutions based on operating experience.
Tadano's equipment portfolio
Tadano manufactures lifting equipment for construction and industrial applications. Its portfolio includes all-terrain, city, lattice-boom crawler, rough-terrain, telescopic-boom crawler, pick-and-carry and knuckle-boom cranes, as well as aerial work platforms.
The company positions its pick-and-carry range for confined, low-emission environments, while its broader portfolio addresses heavier and more varied lifting tasks. That gives Tadano a specialist position across several crane categories rather than relying on a single equipment format.
